Within this service specifically we provide high quality support and guidance to individuals all aged 16+. As an assistant service coordinator you will work with the service users to ensure needs and outcomes are being provided for.
The service and support we provide is built around the individual, taking on board their needs, choices and aspirations. No day is ever the same, but every day is rewarding.
We require flexibility in your approach to work and it is essential you are able to work shifts which will include weekend working, evenings and sleepovers, with some allocated office time within your rota. You should have two years experience in a Support and Care setting and knowledge/experience of supporting people. Experience at supervisory level is a benefit but not essential however an understanding of the qualities and skills required is pivotal.
If you hold an SVQ 2 qualification in Care or a related field in line with the SSSC registration criteria this could be the opportunity for you. Further learning to gain an SVQ 3 would be required within a 2 year timeframe.
About the Role

In this role, you will become part of the support team ensuring a high quality of care and support is delivered to individuals within central West Fife both in a hostel setting and within their own homes. Support is provided to individuals in their own home on an outreach basis as well as support for our homeless provision of the service.
The role is centered around understanding the day to day challenges faced by people with homelessness issues, including addictions, substance misuse, mental health aspects and learning and physical disabilities.
The role also provides outreach support to people in their own homes and outreach support services, to develop and maintain independent living skills and to take part in activities in the community.

Within the Dunfermline Service, specifically, a diverse range of support and guidance is provided to adults including young adults with varying support needs. The support provided within this service is all 24 hour support where we assist individuals to maintain tenancy. The support we provide can include household chores, financials, appointment support, social activities as well as personal care and administering medication. Within the service we do support individuals both physically and mentally, and with this it does bring its own challenges, however training and support to deal with occasions of challenge is provided and ongoing.
As a Support Worker you will work with the service users to ensure needs and outcomes are being provided for. In this role, you will become part of the support team ensuring a high quality of care and support is delivered to individuals in Glenrothes for Locheil Service.
Due to new Supported Individuals we are looking to recruit for this new service which includes sleepover service. This is a variety of sleepovers support to 9-3 for Outreach support. You will provide support with day activities in the community, supporting to the cinema, arts and crafts, other clubs including the local disco.
Within this Service we provide high quality support and care to adults with learning disabilities and mental health issues. Individuals may require assistance with an element of personal care, medication, and assisting with daily household tasks within their own homes.
We provide support to individuals in the Glenrothes area, so there is a requirement for you to drive, have a car for work and be willing to use your car to transport service users to activities. The expense of using your car will be reimbursed at a rate of 55p per mile.
